Deb brings an extensive producing background in television, film and the web to Three Chicks projects. With over 25 years of experience, Deb's award-winning television and film work include three Winter Olympics for CBS, The Sally Jessy Raphael Show, Donahue, Geraldo, CBS television network promotion, CBS This Morning, the Discovery Channel's Super Shark Weekend promotion campaign, the documentary film Silent Angels hosted by Julia Roberts for the Discovery Health Channel and numerous show pilots for kids and adults.
An accomplished web producer and project manager, Deb has created educational and entertaining online content for Compaq Computers, Paul Allen's Experience Music Project, Seattle's ACT Theatre, WGBH-TV/Vulcan Production's 7-part series Evolution and Blues Inc/Vulcan Productions' 5-part series The Blues, also for PBS. Deb co-developed Artopia, a mixed media television series about art for kids, which was sold to PBS affiliate Thirteen/WNET New York. She also co-developed a multimedia project about science for kids called Quarked! Adventures in the Subatomic Universe with the University of Kansas and produced a live-action series for Girl Scouts of the USA as part of their national program Fit's Inn promoting healthy living for girls ages 6—11.
Deb served as Executive Producer, Producer and co-writer on Three Chicks Media's animated television series and web project promoting an empowered, entrepreneurial mindset for kids called All Terrain Brain and as Executive Producer on the development of a USDA-funded nationwide multimedia campaign for youth about water and water conservation.
From 2013-2015 Deb served as REI’s Media Studio Senior Manager at the co-op’s national headquarters outside of Seattle leading a team of 26 producers, stylists, photographer’s videographers and color technicians in the production of video, photography and radio for mass media, marketing, web content and national campaigns.
Deb is currently at work on TCM project development, production and creative consulting plus media collaborations with multiple partners.
Lynn Brunelle Writer/TCM Founder
A four-time Emmy Award-winning writer for "Bill Nye the Science Guy," Lynn Brunelle has over 25 years of experience writing across all manner of media from award-winning board games such as Cranium and the popular Brainquest series to best-selling books Mama Gone Geek, Pop Bottle Science, Camp Out, Mama’s Little Book of Tricks and Chicken Scratches to "Travels to the Edge with Art Wolfe," a PBS television series which won the American Broadcasting Award in 2008.
Previously a classroom teacher, an editor, illustrator, and award-winning author of over 45 titles, Lynn has created and written projects for Chronicle, Workman, National Geographic, Scholastic, Random House, Penguin, A&E, The Discovery Channel, Disney, ABC TV, NPR, The Annenberg Foundation, World Almanac, Cranium and PBS.
Lynn was a co-writer for Three Chicks Media's animated television series and web project promoting an empowered, entrepreneurial mindset for kids called All Terrain Brain. Also for Three Chicks, Lynn co-developed Artopia, a mixed media television series about art for kids, which was sold to PBS affiliate Thirteen/WNET New York.
In 2014, Lynn wrote the Bullying Prevention Unit G4-5 video series for Committee for Children, which won a national CINE Golden Eagle Award, as well as a Bronze Telly Award. In 2008, Lynn produced 20 World Almanac Puzzler Decks with Chronicle Books which received the 2008 Parents Choice Award, Learning Magazine’s Teacher’s Choice Award and Education.com’s A+ Award, among others. Lynn's book Camp Out! The Ultimate Kid's Guide hit stores in spring 2007 and won the Parent's Choice Gold Award that same year. Pop Bottle Science (2004) received the Parent's Choice Award in 2004 and was named among the best products for children in 2005 by iParenting Media Awards.
Lynn is a regular family-activity consultant and on-air contributor for King 5 NBC’s New Day Northwest, Martha Stewart Radio as well as creator of Mama Gone Geek blog, Tabletop Science videos for NPR's Science Friday.
Abby Katzman Senior Project Manager/Producer For over 25 years Abby has managed a wide range of projects and teams. Her background includes project management, client services, and creative development with expertise in communications, media production and marketing strategies. Abby's experience in managing, producing and directing also includes large scale, live events and campaigns with multiple components for such clients as Microsoft and Starbucks with audiences up to 9000 people. Abby's background in digital media includes video production, web development, interactive experiences and social marketing.
As the Director of Digital Media at Xeko Inc., Abby managed and directed the creation, development and launch of the Xeko eco-adventure web environment based on the Xeko card game for children. She served as producer/director on a series of award winning videos for the non-profit organization Landesa and has worked as project manager and/or producer on numerous commercial and non-profit video and event productions.
At Three Chicks Media, Abby served as a Project Manager for our Kauffman Foundation-funded, animated, television series and web project promoting an empowered, entrepreneurial mindset for kids called All Terrain Brain and for a USDA-funded nation-wide multimedia campaign for youth about water and water conservation. Abby is currently working on multiple projects for clients ranging from agencies to nonprofits.
Julie Benyo Director of Educational Outreach Julie has more than 25 years of experience creating national transmedia outreach initiatives across a range of subject areas and for audiences spanning pre-K through lifelong learners. For many years she directed the Educational Outreach department at WGBH, Boston’s public media producer.
Under her leadership, Julie’s team created award-winning projects in support of both children’s and prime time broadcast series, such as Arthur, Curious George, NOVA, and Masterpiece. She also spear-headed non-broadcast initiatives, including Dot Diva, a joint project with the ACM (Association of Computing Machinery) that aims to dispel stereotypes of computer science and encourage more high school girls to consider the field as a desirable career option.
Julie has cultivated and stewarded partnerships with targeted national groups to provide input on projects in development and to disseminate project outputs to their constituents. These include organizations such as Girl Scouts of the USA, the Materials Research Society, and the American Library Association.
While at WGBH, Julie led development of the award-winning, educational outreach materials for Three Chicks Media’s animated television series and web project promoting an entrepreneurial mindset for kids called All Terrain Brain.
At Three Chicks Media, Julie served as the Director of Educational Outreach for a USDA-funded nationwide multimedia campaign for youth about water and water conservation. She is currently working with Pellet Productions, Inc. in Massachusetts to create several projects whose goals are to create awareness, build interest, and increase enrollment in Advanced Technology programs at community colleges around the country.
